A Quick Infusion Of Inspiration To Spark Your Heart Feels
Plus a message of deep thanks and a question that comes with the gift we all love to get.
With only a few days left in another speed-of-light year, and my belly still full of turkey and my heart full of feels, this week’s post will be a short highlight reel of my 2024 greatest hits and favourites.
I hope it gives you a quick infusion of inspiration that sparks your own heart feels.
My most popular post
I love that this post did well—because it’s the closest to my heart and writing it made me feel blindingly vulnerable. To have others understand and connect with it was unexpected magic.
“Here’s the most important thing to remember: Building a career that energizes rather than drains you is not naive or childish. It’s the whole point.”
My most popular note
Generosity is the cure to what ails us. We know it on a gut-deep level, but sometimes need reminding. Whenever my comparison monster rears its ugly head, or I’m struggling to find gratitude and grace, I come back to this.
My favourite post (from me)
This was the first time I wrote explicitly about creativity, and it felt like something clicked into place. I’d never consciously thought of myself as “a creative” before, but I realized deep-down it’s something I’ve always wanted.
“Creativity is contagious. When two creative minds meet, even across vastly different fields of expertise or experience, magic happens.”
“Ghostwriting is like being handed the pieces of someone’s heart, then being trusted to make those pieces fit together.”
My favourite note (from me)
Remembering to celebrate who we are and what makes us us can cut through a lot of angst and heartache. I encourage you to click the note to read the full list of 20 wonderful things you have to celebrate about yourself.
I tried to choose my favourite post and note written by someone else here on Substack—and quickly admitted it’s impossible. There are just too many favourites, and my heart too full and fragile to choose only one. So I will end with a message of deep thanks and a question for all of you.
The message
Thank you for supporting, guiding, and uplifting me this year.
Thank you for helping me grow.
Thank you for writing your heart out and sharing your experience, expertise, or journey with me.
Let’s keep going—together, okay?
Because it’s impossible to go it alone.
The question
What’s your favourite note and/or post you’ve written this year?
Please drop it in the comments, and I’ll have a read. I would love to give you the gift of that booped 🧡 and genuine comment we all love to get.
Because I’m grateful for the gifts you give me every day—and want to give back generously.
Here’s to another year of growth, connection, and proud plot twists.
What a lovely roundup and it's inspiring to read your notes!
I'm very new to substack, and coming from a very different life. I wrote this note on my feelings of leaving food blogging, and starting anew.
