This was a spectacular story, absolutely brilliant. I so wanted to find out what or 'who' had tapped on the glass.

Oh yes! I grew up watching Beauty & the Beast and The Brave Little Toaster so it already had me pulled in but with the mystery it really got me hooked! Plus it reminded me of something I hadn’t thought about in so long now - my Grandpa had an answering machine that I would always get when I called because they’d always be out doing stuff. He loved jokes and always had new ones for us and this was in the days of forwarding jokes via email to everyone, he ate that up. Well anyways, I would always call his house and his voice would come on the answering machine saying you’ve reached the - residence and they are unavailable right now and the answering machine is too but this is the refrigerator and if you will speak slowly I’ll spell out the message here with my magnets. Or he said something along those lines but really clever and had me rolling every single time I heard it. Thanks for bringing me some fun memories to my mind thru this and also good fun and smiles with a slice of mystery 💜

Loved every bit of this! From "emotional stemware" to "it hadn’t banged. It had tapped" and everything in between, I was here for it. So glad to read right before the new moon when I'm expecting some light tapping of my own. Thoughtful and playful with a good use of language. Thanks for sharing! I only hope there's more❣️
